Happy Campers

Hey Everybody,

My teenagers are at youth camp this week, and I am missing them already! But I am so grateful for what this "camp" involves. They are at the beach doing personal evangelism. For months they have been in training with our youth pastor and the rest of the teens at our church, learning techniques, tips, and trade secrets for sharing Jesus without fear. They have journeyed through "Way of the Master" training, as well as learning the key components of the F-A-I-T-H method. Through role-playing scenarios with the group as well as God-anointed opportunities to share for real with lost friends, they have prepped for, planned for, and prayed over this very special week. They are setting an example for me.

Bold faith, real lives, and teenagers who get it when it comes to the urgency of the lostness of our culture--I am one happy momma, praising the Lord for making them His own.

Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and
our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace. (Psalm
144:12)

wow! First, I thank Danya was you! You look so much alike. I know you have to be so proud of your kids.

No doubt they will experience both joy and even some rejection on this trip. I hope that it is a growing experience for them, and that lives are changed because they share His word with others.

I agree with Kelly that Danya looks so much like you. When I was doing your caricature, for a while I kept thinking it looked more like her than it did you. LOL.

I'm sure you are very proud. Oh how I wish my granddaughters had opportunities like these. :) You're raising them well. I have no doubt that God is pleased.

Regarding the video, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I had actually forgotten about Tony DeFranco until you mentioned him and that song in your post. As soon as you did I remembered the words. I have watched it several times now. LOL!

Thanks so much! Danya and I receive comments all the time from people because we look so much alike. My standard reply is that she is the new and improved version!
