When You Need a Word

How good is God?

He is so good.

You know that already, and I know it, too. But isn't it good when He lets us know it, again? You know, those stop-in-your-tracks, this-was-a-God-thing moment?

I had one of those today. It was brief; it was fleeting, but I grabbed it, and I'm still thinking about it. A lady whom I don't know (I just see her on my teaching days) started telling me she liked the color I was wearing, and then she just started speaking a blessing over me. I don't think she knew it was going to happen! All she did was tell me what God thinks about me--just a few simple reminders that resonated deep within my heart. And I didn't even realize how much I needed to hear it until I heard her saying it.

So how about if I pass that on to you?

You are His--the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. You are His gem, the apple of His eye, precious, unique, and dearly loved. You are chosen for His plan and His purpose. He likes the way He made you. The hair, the eyes, the nose, the fingers, the feet, the knees--the whole package--He likes it.

He can't take His eyes off you.
