Mom, when it comes to homeschooling, it is critical that you and your husband are on the same page. Over the years, I have counseled several moms who wanted to homeschool, but their husbands did not want them to. When they do it anyway, it never works out.
If you and your spouse are not in agreement about homeschooling, it is not the right choice for you. That said, the very best resource that you can "give" a husband who is hesitant to homeschool is another family who is successfully homeschooling. If he sees it working, and he sees a dad who is happily on board, that will speak more loudly to him than anything you could ever say or any book he could ever read.
