Another thing that has helped our children develop a love for reading is letting them listen to books on tape. Our four-year-old loves to listen to the Magic Treehouse books. Faily soon I think we'll graduate him to the Boxcar Children stories.
Yes! Books on tape are great, and they are especially an asset to an audio-oriented child.
