Consider This #15

Hey Everybody,

I know that I usually have a quote for your pondering pleasure on Saturdays, but I'm just home from an excellent evening, and I wanted to share.

This week has been full, crazy, and good. I didn't get everything that I wanted to get done accomplished, but that's okay. I've been busy and healthy and I have no complaints. There is so much going on in our country...our communities...and for some the situations that are around us seem quite bleak.

But tonight, I sat in a coffee shop in Hendersonville, TN, where there were people gathered to just listen to some good music, celebrate the end of the week, and talk about what God had done with it: A youth pastor's wife who is investing her life in neglected teenagers. A homeschooling mom raising two sons and caring for her elderly mom. A missionary who finds herself on a new mission field. This is life. This is hope, really. Ever thought about it that way?

Before Danya began to sing, she remarked that in spite of everything going on in individual lives and in our life as a nation, God still has a plan. A good plan.

And it's true. He really does.

Consider this as you live your weekend!

How true this is! I am reminded of Deut 31:8. God has spoken this verse over my life alot lately. He has already gone before me. He will take care of me. I don't need to be afraid or dismayed.

Even as the world seems to crumble around us, we are protected by a loving Father. That doesn't mean that harm isn't going to touch us, but we should know that God is already in our place of healing, our place of provision. He is already ahead of us and has made a way.

I cling to that.

So true! Thanks for your post! So, I have a little funny....I am finally catching up with my magazine reading and was waiting in the car for my daughter to get out of practice...so i picked up my homelife magazine and was reading about jeremy camp, and then flipped through and read a great article about BUGS! After reading i looked and saw your name! I chuckled a little because I thought, Thanks God! You are a mighty woman of God, and I am praying about the day that our church will host a woman's conference and get to meet you in person!
Be in prayer for us...next weekend we are going to a Timothy and Barnanbas conference in Gatlinburg that Johnny Hunt hosts and we are taking our staff...a couple of them really need this weekend!
