Top Ten Reasons You Need Season of Change!

Hey Everybody,

For all you writers out there, take note: The hard part isn't writing a book--it's selling it! Whew! I'm still trying to recuperate from the Blog Tour! Well, praise God, here's my latest brainstorm: The Top Ten list. If you've ever heard me speak, then you know that I can really get into a good Top Ten list. In fact, there's a youtube on my website of the Top Ten ways moms are more like their sons than they dare to admit! Click here if you want to watch that. A few years ago I did the Top Ten reasons Carol Brady should have homeschooled. Fun!
Now, I have compiled the Top Ten Reasons why you might need to buy Season of Change! LOL! See if any of these reasons apply to you!

10. Because you need some help figuring out your middle school age son or daughter.
9. Because you need to know that not much has changed between your middle school days and your child’s—except the software.
8. Because when you were a middle schooler, you didn’t want to stop for “coffee.”
7. Because parenting seems to have gotten a lot more difficult.
6. Because no one says “foxy” anymore.
5. Because the Jonas Brothers remind you of Greg, Peter, and Bobby.
4. Because when your child said, “I need my space,” you thought she wanted her own room.
3. Because you heard “10 is the new 13” and it scared you to death!
2. Because as the parent of a middle school girl, you know there’s really no shortage of drama at this age!

1. Because as the parent of a middle school boy, you know there’s really no shortage of gas in Middle Tennessee!

Yeah, the whole gas thing continues to get big laughs, so I'm using it while I can. This top ten list is one I've been sending out locally to promote my book signing coming up in a couple of weeks! I'm excited.

I've told the students in my writing classes that they'll earn 15 points added on to their lowest grade if they come. Is that ethical? Is that bribery?

Do you think it will work? :)

This was SO funny! Of course I had to go back and watch "why we are like our sons"....chin hairs!! HILARIOUS!! (not that I could relate of course....oh darn, I'm not supposed to lie...Let me rephrase that..Chin's Hairs!! HILARIOUS!! Period.

Well, then I had to read the Carol Brady Top Ten,

Carol Brady..definitely one of the best sitcoms ever! But homeschooling Marcia and Greg in the same room. Impossible, they would have been making goo-goo eyes at each other all through class...except when he was making goo-goo-eyes at Carol, then there would have been the whole Mother-Daughter conflict..problems...problems..problems..
Also, when they ran for class president, Marcia would end up crying and that would just be one big mess!
I am LOVING YOUR BOOK. Yes, I remember those days, and yes, they were awful. You and I could have been best friends. I too was the one who had the Nikes (or whatever the trend was at my school) that were "Out" by the time I got them.

Very funny!

Oh -- I was a middle schooler in the "foxy" era! That is a hoot!

I actually recommended your book and sent the link to our junior high youth pastor last week. He said he was interested and was going to take a look! :)

Our cherubs are still elementary age, but we are praying and preparing ahead of time!

Warm blessings,
Sharon :)
